Doncaster Knights travelled to the island on a windy Friday night and almost claimed a result. With a minute left on the clock, Jersey were 19-12 in front but Doncaster managed to bundle over from close range. This left the Knights with a kick to draw the game, but the ball sailed just wide and the Reds kept their perfect record intact. As December came around, hard-fought wins against Richmond and Nottingham saw Jersey stay in the hunt before last week's impressive dismantling of Bedford Blues saw them go to the top of the table as our game at Caldy was frozen off. It means whoever wins this weekend will be top of the table at Christmas.

A quick Jersey try to respond straight back was then cancelled out by a Craig Willis penalty which meant the scores were tied 10-10 after a quarter of an hour. A Jersey penalty just before the break saw the visitors leading by three at half-time. In the second 40, we came out of the blocks fast. Shaun Malton crashed over on the back of a rolling maul and then just five minutes latter Pat Howard powered over from close range after we had a 5m scrum.
LAST TIME WE MET:It was just over a month ago that we faced Jersey Reds, as they travelled to TFSC to face us in the Championship Cup. Both sides fielded full-strength teams and there was an extra level of intensity that neither team had seen elsewhere this season. The game started very quickly with Russell Bennett scoring an early penalty for the visitors before we responded almost immediately, turning down 3-points in favour of going to the corner. The decision was quickly vindicated, as our powerful rolling maul was illegally pulled down, resulting in a penalty try and Bennett being sent to the bin.
